About

Airframes Alaska proudly supports the outdoor recreation community in Alaska and throughout the world. Our mission is to provide strong and safe products to bush pilots and outdoor enthusiasts who are pursuing adventure in the backcountry. Shops are located at Merrill Field in Anchorage, in Palmer, and in Fairbanks.

Airframes Alaska’s origin story includes the combination of several small, homegrown Alaskan companies. Its goal is to more completely outfit the needs of the customers that work, live and recreate in the backcountry, and help them access true wilderness. Airframes Alaska is an aviation parts manufacturer of PA-18 fuselages, FAA/PMA replacement parts, tailwheels, landing gear, Alaskan Bushwheels, and more for bush plane pilots who go where roads and runways give way to wilderness. Airframes owns Reeve Air Motive, a longstanding aircraft parts shop. In 2019, Airframes Alaska acquired Alaska Tent & Tarp, creator of the famed Arctic Oven Tent, and manufacturer of a series of fabric structures and various heavy-duty, industrial fabric products to customers across Alaska and around the world. Most recently in 2020, Airframes acquired the legendary Alaskan company Northern Sled Works; manufacturer of sleds ideal for cross country skiing, winter camping, hunting, wood hauling, expeditions, and general freighting duties.
